Accelerated Reader Program Update

Parents and teachers who picked up PTO handouts at Meet the Teacher Night may have read a bit about the Accelerated Reader (AR) Program that we hope to launch at MES this year.  This fantastic program has been integrated successfully at schools across the United States, with significant and measurable improvements in reading skills and test scores.  It's "the most popular and successful reading product of all time!" 

MES Diamondbacks PTO has committed to bring the AR program to MES, with the belief that it will benefit our kids and develop their love of reading.  By funding the cost of the program and hosting the application on our Web server, we hope to get the program into classrooms by the end of the 2008-2009 school year.

A representative from AR will be making a presentation to the MUSD Board  this Wednesday, August 27 at 6pm in the Pima Butte's Multipurpose Room.  Come to the meeting, learn more about the AR program and show your support!
